In You

By Lyle Michael

In You A tempest in a teacup.

Brokenness in war.

Power in a windmill.

Tenderness in a newborn.

Enmity in a soul.

Corrosion of the mind.

Courage on the road to recovery.

Love the weakest strength.

Joy in love, in love angst.

Being you, with the trust

to be loved for you.

Love is coming home.

Everything in its place.

All by a purpose.

Time will tell where you stand.

Right now, here with me.

In the raging heap,

peace, hope and serenity with you.

In your touch, comfort.

Being me in you.

This poem is a response to our February 2019 Perceiver's Prompt: "Flash of February

For the shortest month of the year, we challenge you to submit flash fiction, short stories, or haikus for our theme 'Flash of February.' The content of your story can be whatever you please, just make sure it's short!"
