Perception exists to bring the creative voice of Syracuse University to a print and digital platform. Our aim is to encompass all the literary and artistic efforts that undergraduate students, graduate students, faculty, and staff have to offer in an unrestricted format. Through publication, we hope to provide motivation for creative output and increased visibility for the literary community at the university.
As such, we are looking to involve more students and faculty of diverse backgrounds in our publication, whether it be reviewing submissions for the print magazine as an editor, submitting creative writing for publication, or soliciting original content for our website. This Thursday, September 13th, at 7 p.m. in Hall of Languages 115, we will be holding an Interest Meeting for anyone interested in learning about Perception, how to submit work, or opportunities to join our staff. Perception's official submission deadline for the Fall 2018 print magazine is Saturday, October 20th. We accept all creative writing and artwork for our print magazine submitted via email (perception.syr@gmail.com) or via dropbox from our website. We accept digital forms of art, including video, for our website which is accepted on a rolling basis.
